FATTENING OF GOATS AND SHEEP FOR EID AL ADHA

This is a very appropriate time to invest for farmers or businessmen who want to sell fattened goats, sheep or large ruminants for Eid al Adha. Animal rates are normal in the market at the moment. So it would be best to start now. While one is going to step in the fattening business, the first and one of the most important point is the selection of the animal.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while choosing an animal.

Always choose elite breed of animal with improved potential of growth
Select breed having large skeletal frame
Always select beautiful looking animal as people prefer beautiful animals to sacrifice at Eid, that could be in single or two colors.
The animal must have at least 2 teeth at that time.
When choosing an animal, the height of the animal should be appropriate. The animal should be healthy and well fed.
Select animals without physical defects
Avoid emaciated or skinny animals but you can select medium body score animals

Once you have purchased animals, first of all, separate the animals that need to be fattened from other animals, better if they can be kept in different shed, deworm the animals and let them settle at your new place.
